Biography

Joann Newbold-Rolle is a proud Bahamian, with roots on the beautiful island of Great Exuma, Bahamas. She is a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother to three lovely girls.

Joann is happily retired; she holds an Associate Degree in Business Office Administration. She is self-motivated and passionate about positively impacting children’s hearts and minds. She draws inspiration from her family and her community to craft stories that uplift and empower children.

Growing up in a modest neighborhood, she witnessed the struggles of less fortunate children and the resilience of those who faced hardship with courage. These early experiences shaped her passion for writing stories that nurture empathy, kindness, and hope. Her greatest inspiration came from a selfless woman in her community who quietly demonstrated love by feeding not only her family but anyone in need. That living example of compassion continues to guide Joann’s work today.

I’m absolutely delighted to introduce our show-and-tell series, Caribbean Magical & Adventurous Stories—a unique collection of tales created to spark laughter, joy, and plenty of fun for children everywhere.

My goal is to inspire and uplift children by allowing them to experience stories in more than one way, through both words and visuals. Images have a special power to tell their own stories and often express emotions and meaning that go beyond what words alone can capture.
